VMS, Cutcomb & Simeon Schools 2nd Quarter Honor Rolls:
VMS Student Council is hosting a "VMS Teacher and Staff Member of the Month" throughout the the 24-25 school year. All students in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades vote in each category and get to learn a little more about their teachers and staff! January's Teacher & Staff Member of the month are Mr. Kevin Pettigrew and Mr. Rick Medema. Congrats!

Notice of January Regular School Board Meeting
Thursday, January 9th at 9:00 a.m.
JV GBB tomorrow vs G-R will be only 2 quarters. Varsity will follow afterwards and may be a sooner start time than originally scheduled (7:30pm).

There will be only 2 quarters of JV GBB tomorrow @ West Holt @ 4pm.
Congratulations to all the 2025 coronation candidates. 2025 Coronation "Game Night" will be held on Sunday, February 2nd, at 5:30 PM at the Valentine High School, with a dance for VHS 9th-12th and dates to follow from 7:00 - 10:00 PM. If you want to rent a tuxedo, please do not wait to order from Outback or Youngs. Tuxedos are not required but are an option. All senior candidates meet for a group picture in Mrs. Arganbright's room on Friday after school. Tickets will be on sale soon and will be $3 for K-12 students and $7 for adults. Students who purchase a ticket AND ATTEND the ceremony will get into the dance with proof of purchase; the dance is $5 for singles and $8 for couples.

Parents and Students are invited to attend the Parent-Student Food Advisory Meeting on January 8th, 2025 at 3:45pm in the Valentine High School commons area. This meeting allows you to give feedback on the lunch program and put forth any ideas you may want to suggest. We appreciate your time and would love to see you there.

Due to possible blowing snow, BB teams will depart @ 10:30am tomorrow for Chadron Holiday Tournament.
Thank you to all of our help that made the Valentine Invite a success the past 2 days! Special thanks to Joni Titus for all her work with TrackWrestling! We look forward to working on expanding both the Girls and Boys Tournaments.
Congratulations to VHS Semester 1 Honor Roll!
VHS students (& families), teachers, staff & admin donated 1,000 canned/boxed goods to help stock a local food pantry. Stu Co, FFA, and FBLA also donatet 19 complete Christmas dinners to local families this season! Jenalee Garwood coordinated; many contributed! Thank you all!

The Kindergartners had their annual Gingerbread Man hunt. Mrs Long's class drew pictures and made their movie with the help of the VHS BadgerCast students!
