A bus packed with juniors and seniors went and toured the campus of the University of Nebraska at Kearney today. We had a great day!
VES would like to thank VHS FFA and Miss Linse for hosting young badgers at their Farm and Ranch Safety Day yesterday. Students enjoyed the experience! It's always great to see older badgers talking to young badgers. Thank You!

VMS Student Council November Calendar
Seniors had an Apply2College day this morning at the high school. Reps from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, University of Nebraska at Kearney, Chadron State College, Western Nebraska Community College, Northeast Community College, and the Army National Guard were there to help support them. It was a great morning filled with lots of breakfast burritos!

Valentine Middle School students are voting in a mock election this week with sample ballots! We encourage parents/guardians to visit with their students about their votes!
5th grade voted on Monday, 6th & 7th grades are voting today and 8th grade will be voting tomorrow.

Courtney Billings, Seniors
Courtney applied herself and created incredible comic strips representing Beowulf's three battles. She used the language well and went above and beyond in her illustrations. Courtney works hard in class, asks questions, and has a positive attitude. Great leadership, Courtney!

BADGER OF THE WEEK
Tierney Miller, Sophomore, Golf
Tierney had a fantastic season. She brought home a lot of medals this season and was consistently the #1 golfer for the Lady Badgers and was instrumental in leading them to the state tournament again. At the state meet Tierney finished in 12th place overall!

VMS Student Council, led by Mrs. Julie Foster, helped pull weeds and clean up Main Street yesterday in preparation for the Halloween Costume Parade on Thursday! Thanks guys, great job!
