How was school today?
This is a question that parents ask and usually get a one word response back: “Fine”
Many parents try to talk to their kids about their school day and often get one word answers that halt any further conversation. Here are 10 helpful questions to prompt better and more fruitful discussion at the end of a day. These questions often lead to a better understanding of your kids and their experiences and gives you opportunities to help them grow!

Girls State Golf shirts are available for purchase at the Outback! Please have your orders in by Thursday, October 10th at noon.
VMS Student Council is hosting a "VMS Teacher and Staff Member of the Month" throughout the the 24-25 school year. All students in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades vote in each category and get to learn a little more about their teachers and staff!
October's Teacher & Staff Member of the month are Mr. John Hoefs and Mrs. Janell Stoeger. Congrats!

VMS 6th graders in Mrs. Krolikowski's Science class "launched" foam rockets, investigated the trajectory and measured the launch distance this morning, documenting their findings.

Last week, VHS sophomores traveled to Kearney for the Career Exploration Day. It was a great, hands-on day!
