Mrs. Hoefs’ Badger Den will be doing a Breast Cancer awareness walk during Badger Den period this Friday from 12:42-1:00. The community is welcome to come join in with the students at the high school track. All the student Badger Dens have been working on activities promoting awareness this past week.

Valentine High School's Badger Band traveled to Chadron State College on Saturday, October 19th to participate in their Homecoming. The band marched in the Homecoming parade and then played along with The Eagle Band at the football game!!
The Valentine High School Choir will be presenting, "Let's Go to the Movies" on Thursday, October 24th, 2024!
Come at 6 pm for a free will offering Dessert Bar and Silent Auction!! (In the Commons Area) Concert will be at 7pm in the High School Auditorium

Aubrey Benson, Junior
Aubrey Benson: Aubrey is such a kind-hearted soul. Starting her morning off with Chemistry, she comes in happy and positive, works hard, and makes sure she is staying on track and understanding the material well. Aubrey has a bright future and always makes sure she is staying on the right track. Keep up the good work, Aubrey!!!

VHS students and parents are invited to a Steps to College presentation during parent/teacher conferences on Thursday, October 17th. There will be two presentations, students and parents of 9-10th graders will be at 10 am and students and parents of 11-12th graders will be at 1 pm. Both presentations will be in the boardroom at VHS. Please contact Mrs. Manning if you have any questions.
Class C Girls State golf tournament played at Lake Maloney golf club in North Platte.
The top 15 teams out of 81 class c Nebraska schools played Monday and Tuesday of this week in the two day state tournament.
Valentine placed 11th with a 404 on Monday and a 415 on Tuesday, giving the team a combined 36 hole total of 819. Mondays score of 404 was the teams second lowest score of the season.
Tierney Miller placed 12th individually with a two day total of 178. Monday she shot a 93 and followed that with her personal low of an 85 on Tuesday.

We will miss our senior leadership shown by Jocelyn Jordan and Marybelle Ward. We wish them the best on all their future endeavors.
As the season has come to an end we look back on the many successes achieved by our varsity team. Team highlights from the season: 1st place at North Platte St Pats Invite, 2nd place at Ainsworth Invite and Valentine Invite, 3rd place at districts in Ogallala, and 4th place at SWC.
Congratulations to Tierney Miller for placing 12th @ the Class C Girls State Golf Meet!
