For the first time ever, VHS was able to participate in the state-wide Microsoft IT Initiative. A test group (due to COVID-19) of students participated and achieved success! Please help me congratulate them! Thanks to all who made this program possible!

Valentine Elementary parents/guardians, families, and students, a reminder that this week is the final week of new instruction. Those students who are caught up by Friday, May 8, will be done with schoolwork for the school year. Those who have missing assignments will continue on with their learning at least until May 20. Please be in touch with your child's teacher.

Seniors are to bring back all school technology, books, uniforms, etc. Because of current directed health measures we are going to do this as systematically and safe as possible. Last names beginning A-E from 9:00am-10:00 am, F-J 10:00-11:00, K-P 1:00-2:00, R-Y 2:00-3:00. WE will only allow two students at a time. Enter through the East doors. Seniors will also pick up their graduation packets at this time. Students may want to bring some money for any fees/fines they may have.

Valentine Elementary School Title I Annual Meeting

The Valentine Elementary School Annual Title I Meeting will be held tomorrow, May 1, 2020. Two sessions will be available to make it more convenient for parents of Elementary students to participate.
The agenda:
What the Schoolwide Title I Program is and how students may be chosen to participate
Explanation of the Parent/Student/ Teacher Compact and any concerns about the compact
Review of the Parent and Family Engagement Policy and any questions concerning the policy

Gage Krolikowski updating the record board. Gage updated for being a 4 time State Champion and breaking the career win record previously held by Jordan Kelber and the season pin record that was held by Noah Eklund. Congrats Gage!!

Physicals - The NSAA has decided to waive physicals for students who have a physical on file with the school from last year that are entering grades 8, 10, 11 and 12. Incoming 7th graders have to have a physical per state law. Incoming freshmen will have to have a new physical to meet the requirements of the NSAA Catastrophic Insurance coverage. DISTRICT MUSIC CONTEST was scheduled for today. Everybody at Valentine High School knows you would have played and sang your hearts out. We know this setback won't get in the way of your love for music. So sing and play today regardless of competition. GO BADGERS!!!!

The Valentine Teammates Mentoring Program Chapter would like to congratulate Chelsea Lamb, Trinity Danielson, and Grace Woodraska as this year's senior recipients for our $500 college scholarships.

We have been asked about the track hoodies that have been ordered. Outback informed us that they are having trouble getting them because the factory has laid off employees due to Covid19. They assured us that when they get them in they will get them printed and we will get them to everyone that has ordered one. They are hoping the first part of May.

Cheer and Dance Tryouts!
Due to Covid 19 we are going to be doing Cheer and Dance tryouts through online video. Mrs. Arganbright has put together a packet with all the information that you will need and is available to answer your questions.
