VALENTINE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS ANNOUNCES ADDITION TO OUR TEACHING STAFF FOR 2020-21

Weight Room - Students you are going to be getting an email from Mr. Cronin about signing up for the weight room starting June 1st via a google doc. You will sign up for a time and you will be required to keep that time through the entire summer. We are allowed to have 10 students and you will be in there for 45 minutes and then we will spend 15 minutes sanitizing the equipment to bring the next group in. Please remember to practice social distancing while arriving, leaving and while you are here. The guidelines could change as we keep moving forward and we will continue to update as we are allowed. Seniors and parents if you'd like a copy of the graduation video I will need a thumb drive or a way that I can export a large file, at least 16GB. Drop off the thumb drive at my house or at school in an envelope have it labeled some how. I will get it back to you ASAP.

Track Hoodie update. We visited with Outback this morning and some of them came in late last week and they are hoping the rest of them come in this week. The delay has been from the maker of the hoodies due to Covid19. We apologize for the delay and we will get them out as soon as we can.

Valentine High School students: All work is due by the end of the day on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Anything not turned in will become zeros and will affect your grade accordingly, which may include a failing grade. You will not be allowed to check out until work is completed.

Congratulations to the 2020 Student Council Scholarship Recipient, Rhea Benson. Rhea has been a wonderful member of Student Council. We saw her leadership really shine this last year while planning and preparing for homecoming and helping with the concession stand. Rhea’s future plans are to attend UNK and major in Biology education 7-12. She will be greatly missed. Congratulations Rhea!

SENIORS. . . Please submit videos by the end of the day Thursday, May 14 so Mrs. Arganbright can get them into the graduation video. If nothing is submitted by you then we will add you with the pictures we have access to. A video link will be shared on our website, life feed, twitter, facebook, and SMS by 4:00 on May 16.

Valentine Community Schools will be doing a book and technology check-in next week. This would include textbooks, library books, laptops or chromebooks, and any other school property. Families with last names starting with A-F will check-in on Monday, May 18; G-M will check in on Tuesday, May 19; and N-Z will check in on Wednesday, May 20. Each day, the buildings will be open 9 am-3 pm. This will be for all three schools, VES, VMS, and VHS; you will check in to each building you have children attending. Two people at a time will be admitted in the building, and that will be it. Practicing social distancing. If there are any issues with the dates, please call the appropriate school.
