Valentine Community Schools is hiring Para-Professionals at the elementary school to assist students in various education settings. Hours will follow the school calendar and will consist of approximately 35 hours per week. A competitive wage and benefits package is available.

Valentine Community Schools is proud to announce Alex Jensen as the new Head Cross Country Coach. This is Alex Jensen’s 7th year at Valentine Community Schools where he teaches high school social studies. Coach Jensen grew up in Chadron, where he attended Chadron Public Schools (K-12) and went to Chadron State College for his bachelor's degree in secondary social science. Coach Jensen ran four years of cross country in high school and walked on a season with Chadron State College in 2013. Since coming to Valentine in 2017, he has been an assistant girl’s basketball coach and middle school track coach for 7 years. He started as an assistant cross country coach in 2020. In 2022, Coach Jensen married his wife,
Raine, from Sidney, Nebraska. Her consistent love and support is greatly appreciated. Coach Jensen is grateful for the years he has spent as an assistant of Tammy Gass, and he is excited to have the opportunity to lead the cross country team next season! VCS is excited for the future of Cross Country with Coach Jensen as Head Coach!
