Mrs. Kim Jeffers retired from VCS after 23 years of service! We appreciate all they did over the summer to help us get ready for students and families tomorrow.

First Day of School tomorrow at VES! 8:10-11:45am school day for K-4 students. Please see the attached map as we plan to line students up in the morning at different spots than last year. Parents still have the option to drop off in the main parking lot or on government street. Please use the crosswalks. In the main lot, we encourage parents to use the drop off lane at the curb and continue out of the lot. Please pull as far forward in the drop off lane as you can before letting students out of the vehicle, this allows for multiple drop off's at one time. If you choose to park and walk your child to the sidewalk, please escort them across the drop off lane area. We look forward to seeing students tomorrow and will continue to make changes with student safety and security in mind. Wednesday dismissal is 11:45am. No changes for dismissal, students will exit out of a variety of doors as in the past.

Because medical costs can be expensive, Valentine Community Schools does provide families the opportunity to purchase student accident insurance on their student through Student Assurance Services, Inc.
This supplemental policy would assist with your out-of-pocket medical expenses (i.e. deductible) should your student sustain an accidental injury while coverage is in effect. Also, if you do not have any insurance on your student, this would be primary for accidental injuries. There are a variety of coverage options and premiums are a one-time payment for the school year.
