Summer Weights begin tomorrow @ the HS. HS times-6:00-7:15am/7:15-8:30am. MS times 8:30-9:30am. Normal weeks will be Mon-Thu.
No Summer Lunch will be served on Monday due to the holiday.

Sports Physical dates have been scheduled. All students participating in middle or high school sports are required to have a physical prior to practice/participation.

We had a great first year at VES of our Sandhills State Bank - Badger Branch (Badger Bank). Thanks to Mrs. Cardinal and her students, the employees at Sandhills State Bank, and our 4th grade tellers for all they did to make this a success. We were excited to see how many of our students became savers this year, and we hope to grow next year!
We love to see the VHS graduates come through Valentine Elementary for a farewell! VES wishes the 2024 VHS graduates well!
VES family engagement night, Beach Bash, was a hit earlier this month. We thank all of the parents and guardians who brought their children. It was so much fun to see you all here. Thanks to the VES staff for all of their help in putting on this event, especially Mrs. Deb Jeffers as she is the heart behind this event!
Shout out to VMS's Badger Pause Groups for the 2023-24 school year! They were a part of several community service projects! School Yard Clean-up, Food Drive, Ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, Collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald house, Tree Trimming, Collecting money for postage for the Valentine's for Vets, Paper Recycling, Veteran's day cards, Cleaned trophy cabinet for Mr. Hoefs, Box top for education, concession stands, and setting up the gym for home contests. Thank you teachers and students!

Congratulations to Isaac Cronin for clearing 6-6 @ the State Track Meet and placing 3rd in Class C (5th All Class)! Isaac also placed 6th in the 300H! Great job Isaac, we are proud of you!
Congratulations to the following Kindergarten students for learning over 220 high-frequency words this school year: James Cochran, Lauren Benzing, Emmet Arens, Sawyer LaDeaux, Juliette Arganbright, Lydia Hand, Cassandra Soriben, Piper Westover, Lexi Alvarez, Lennon Joseph, and Jack Monroe.
Congratulations VMS 5th graders!!! These students showed up 2nd semester and won the Attendance Challenge! A HUGE thank you to Double K Popcorn for donating all the popcorn for these well deserving students!
Wrestling Camp Info
We will be stopping registration for Badger Cub Club summer programming later today. It is for K-4 students, and it runs from May 28-June 28, 8 am-12 pm Monday-Friday. Please visit the VES office to get a registration form. Also, this is a reminder VES dismisses at 11:45 am today.
This is an awesome opportunity for all Junior High/High School girls that plan to play basketball next season and is free of charge!

VMS & Rural Schools Honors Day Program will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, May 14th at the high school gym. Students in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades will be recognized for their achievements throughout the school year.
