Total Solar Eclipse: A total solar eclipse, happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, casting a shadow on Earth that either fully or partially blocks the Sun’s light in some areas. This only happens occasionally, because the Moon doesn't orbit in the exact same plane as the Sun and Earth do.
Shout out to Jenalee, Landen & Maeli for their 7th place finish in the stock market game sponsored by the Nebraska Council on Economic Education...there were 459 high school teams in NE! Nick and Rylee took 13th and Lex, Harvey Dean, and Neeley were close at 17th!

The Valentine Quiz Bowl traveled to Ainsworth on April 3, 2024 to participate in the ESU 17 state qualifying tournament. The team did very well and went 3-0 on the day, winning first place. This earned the team the right to participate in the state tournament on Wednesday, April 24th in Hastings, NE. The teams next competition will be SWC in McCook on April 10th.
