Join the middle school team! We are looking for a custodian to help John at the middle school. The hours can be flexible depending on whether you are a morning or evening person. Stop up at the middle school to visit with John and Jeff.
VES Traffic/Dismissal Reminder:
Today will be the first afternoon that Kindergarten is dismissed along with all grades at 3:25pm. Please be patient and expect more traffic volume than the first 8 days of school. Below is a brief list of dismissal expectations for VES:
*Students need to communicate with their teacher if they are walking or getting picked up.
*If students are getting picked up in the main East Parking Lot, parents are expected to park first, then come to the sidewalk to pick up your student. Students will not be allowed to walk across the East Parking Lot by themselves.
*Students are expected to tell their teacher when they see their adult.
*If you would like to have your student walk to your vehicle on their own, please consider parking on one of the side streets.
We appreciate your patience and respect to staff and families as we try to help all students get home safe in a timely manner.

Valentine Community School is hiring for a para professional position to work with students at Valentine High School. This is an immediate opening and the start date is as soon as the selected candidate may be available. Starting wage is $16 per hour and the district will provide up to 80% of single health insurance. Advantages of this position include following the school schedule, working with kids, and the security of still being paid in the event of unscheduled days off such as snow days

The Valentine Middle School Staff has picked up trash along the roadside for thirty-nine years. It was started by former middle school teacher Al Walking in 1985. The NDOR did not start recognizing the staff until 1991 with their Adopt A Highway program. Thank you Al for starting a worthwhile project!
