
Mr. Nollette took some students to Western Nebraska Community College last week to take American Wedling Association (AWA) welding tests. Jared Ellis, Mason Harp and Blaine Sage all passed their tests to become AWA certified welders. Great job boys!


6 Badgers qualified for the Nebraska State Track meet, Friday-Saturday May 21-22 at Burke Stadium in Omaha. 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♂️ Izzy in the 100, 200, & long jump, Jack in the 1600, Becca in 100 hurdles, Nick 200 & 400, Kailee in high & long jump, and Kenny in triple jump.

Congrats to Delaney Robison for adding her name to the record board a third time this year! Delany set the school record in the pole vault with a vault of 8'7!

The 4X800 meter relay school record was broken by; Christen Larson, Aiden Hand, Aubrey Benson, and Maeli Patterson.


Isaac Cronin set a new school record in the 200 meter hurdles.

Mrs Arganbright has such a deep passion for providing opportunity for our students to create memories. Because of this VHS has created the "Danielle Arganbright Spark Plug Award". This will be an annual award to the teacher who motivates and encourages students to make their futures.

VMS Honors Day Program will be Tuesday, May 18th at 7 p.m. in the VHS Auditorium. This is a program put on by VMS.
Parents of students put the following events and they are not school sponsored: Honors Day dance & 8th grade picnic registration forms are still being accepted. Dance is for 7th & 8th grade students - the picnic is for 8th grade only. Registration forms can be dropped off at the parts store on Main Street. Please have your parents fill this out with the price of entry included.

There will be a “Teen Center” safety clinic tomorrow, May 11th after school in the west parking lot of VMS (by basketball hoops) from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Valentine Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol will have different stations for students going into 5th grade through 8th grade to rotate through including: The Seatbelt Convincer, Impaired Obstacle Course, Distracted Driving, Stop The Bleed, Drugs & Alcohol, and Water Safety. Make plans to attend!
