All Jr High boys basketball players (entering 6th, 7th and 8th grade) there will be open gyms all this week from 10:30-11:30am at the high school gym. Start the day off in our weight room from 9:30-10:30 and then come play some basketball!!!

Reminder: Weight Room opens next Tuesday June 1. 6:30-8:00 am=HS Boys, 8:00-9:30 HS Girls, 9:30-1030=JH students.

Great effort in the mile today Jack! Jack Lancaster placed 14th out of 24 runner in the mile at the state track meet with a time of 4:52!

Isabelle Salters finishes her amazing VHS Badger career with an 8th place finish at the state meet in the 200m...way to tough it out Izzy!


Kenny Shelbourn made finals in Triple jump! His 43'9" is leading class C at the moment.

VMS 5th Graders explored our downtown the other day and visited the Veterans Memorial, the sculpture mural on the bank, and the Cherry County Historical Society Museum. Thank you all for letting us visit!

The VMS students had a spring Quiz Bowl today. Galvin's Badger Pause won the spring championship over Bish. Galvin's Team then played Cronin's December winning team and won with a close match as the Grand Finale 2021 winning group. Great job to all students and teachers!




That track team will be doing a sendoff tomorrow morning at 10:30 am from the High School.

The VMS Honors Program will be Tuesday at 7:00 pm in high school gym for grades 5-8. Students will receive awards for honor roll, Badger Effort, and various activities. Students will be notified if they did NOT receive an award. We hope to see you there!

Congrats to Elli Springer! She is the first student to graduate from Valentine Community Schools with the Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. Elli’s passion, hard work, and drive for learning another language was evident in her passing 4 intensive exams and earning the highest honor of a Gold standing. We are so proud of Elli and wish her all the best in her future endeavors!!
