The VMS Honors Program was held Tuesday evening to recognize student achievement and participation in extra curricular activities. We had an amazing turnout! The 7th graders along with the MNNRD staff planted 900 ponderosa pine trees at the city landfill and 25 sumac below Big Rock.




Today was Susan Frank’s last day at VES. She has served the students of VES for 34 years! Happy retirement to one of the kindest and most hardworking gals. We will miss you!

What a perfect day for the 4th grade field trip. They started with wonderful presentations from Cherry Street Nursery, followed by planting flowers on Main Street. They finished with lunch in the city park and informative presentations from the NPS, Niobrara Council, and the NRD. A great day of learning and fun!




2nd grade students presented a play to 1st grade students across the hall! Great job!

Mrs. Jordan presented to the 5th grade students information about what to expect in MS. They then later enjoyed orientation at VMS.

The 4th/5th grade track meet held on Thursday was a great success. Kids worked hard, and it turned out to be a great day! Shout out to Mr. Little who prepared the students and the track meet and classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and 8th grade students who helped!
