
From NSAA
Effective Monday, March 16 all NSAA activity practices are suspended until Monday, March 30 and all NSAA activity competitions are suspended until Thursday, April 2. These suspensions may be extended should the conditions warrant.

To error on the side of caution, there will be no school tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2020 for staff or students to allow time to review the current status of COVID-19.

The 8th grade Northeast CC visit in Norfolk on Tuesday has been cancelled.
VHS and VMS quiz bowl duel in Ainsworth on Thursday has been cancelled.

VES’s Saddling Up for Success (family engagement night) scheduled for Thursday, March 19, has been cancelled.

Due to ongoing concerns about COVID-19, NDE has cancelled all upcoming Career and Technical Student Organization 2020 State Leadership conferences. The cancellations relative to VCS include FBLA (April 1-3) and FFA (March 30-April 1).

Students will start at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 to allow time for a staff meeting relating to COVID-19

The SWC Art and Music Festival has been canceled. District and State Speech has been suspended at this time. We will keep updating as we learn more.

The Badger Speech Team competed in the Southwest Conference Speech Meet held right here in Valentine Tuesday, March 10. The badgers placed 3 team members. Kaylee Vavra, 3rd poetry, Calvin Stoeger, 5th Informative, James Woodraska, 6th Informative. Way to go Badgers!

COVID-19 and Community Participation Public Service Announcement



Valentine High School industrial tech classes are working hard to finish their projects before the end of the year. Mr. Muirhead has them make some awesome stuff!



Valentine High School art student have been busy! Mrs. Swim has them display their art up and down the hallway. Come and check out our students and their abilities!





UNL Husker Beef Lab visited all schools this week. Today, VMS students got their chance to learn with hands-on experience.
Beef Lab teaches students science principles through a ruminant animal what makes the ruminant truly unique in the environment and ecosystem! Thank you UNL!

Chess club came to a conclusion yesterday, and Duncan Mosner was crowned champion. All who participated did a wonderful job, and a special thanks to Mr. Little for spending Tuesdays after school with this great group of students!

2nd Annual Victor E. Days is under way at VHS!

To incoming 5th & 6th graders: 8th grade practiced listening skills today to complete a task following complex multi-step directions, making origami jumping frogs.These frogs will be given to students coming to VMS. In addition to having fun, we hope all students feel welcome!



Valentine Round Ball: There has been some confusion regarding the Round Ball Tourney this weekend. This is not a school activity, however games will be played at the middle & high school gyms. Sat.: 7/8th girls @VMS, 7/8th boys @VHS. Sun.: 5/6th girls @VHS, 5/6th boys @VMS.
