BADGER OF THE WEEK
Grant Springer, Junior, Cross-Country
Junior Grant Springer is a dedicated student-athlete. Grant qualified for the cross country state meet running his personal best time of 17:58.6 at the district meet. His qualifying time moved Grant to 7th on the Cross Country top ten leaderboard. Grant’s success this year came from knowing that miles do matter. Grant began preparing for this season in 2021. He ran track and qualified for the 2022 state track meet. Medaling at most meets and breaking his personal best time, Grant met goals he set for himself this season. When Grant and I talked about his accomplishments this year, Grant said, “Next year a medal.” Grant does not boast, he is a kind, humble role model for his team and other student-athletes. Congratulations, Grant, on being selected “Badger of the Week”.
