  • Lunch for today:  Creamy Macaroni & Cheese w/Dinner roll, Oven Roasted Hot Dog, or Turkey & Cheese Sub.
  • Wrestling practice @ 3:45 pm.
  • Girls basketball practice at 3:45 Wednesday and Boys at 4:00 Wednesday at Middle school gym.
  • All students, just a reminder that if you miss more than 5 school days, have a grade under a C average or have served a suspension you will be required to take finals on December 20 and 21. Do NOT plan on being gone these days, finals are 15% of your overall grade.
  • Any student looking for community service hours the Salvation Army is looking for Bell Ringers. See Mrs. Arganbright for details.
  • Senior baby pictures are up now in front of the office for March of Dimes! Vote for the cutest baby by putting money in the corresponding cups! Voting ends on December 16th.
  • There will be a Student Council meeting Monday, December 13th at 3:45 pm and 6:15 pm please try and attend one of the meetings. 
  • Mock Trial will be at Ainsworth today at 10 am. Departure at 8:30 am.
  • Varsity Wrestling Tri Invite here Thursday at 6 pm. Wrestling team pictures will be after school Thursday.
  • The ACT test will be given in the Commons Saturday from 8 am till noon for those that are registered to take the test.  Remember to bring two pencils, a calculator, a form of identification, and your registration ticket.
  • Student Council is challenging you to 21 days of kindness from now through the break! Pick up an activity in the commons and return it after break! Post your pictures to social media with the #vhs21daysofkindness  A prize will be given to those who complete the activity. 
  • Student Council & FBLA hosted a canned food drive competition. Freshmen came out on top with 172 items, Juniors 2nd with 161, Seniors 3rd at 107, and Sophomores 4th with 44. Memory Davis rocked the most generous award by bringing 119 items! Thank you, Badgers! 
  • All students need to check their emails for a lunchtime solutions survey.  These need be completed before we leave for Christmas break.
  • Student Council is sponsoring some fun holiday themes for next week.  Monday is Holiday socks, Tuesday is Holiday hats & scarves, Wednesday is ugly Holiday sweater, and Thursday is Holiday pajamas.  All school dress codes apply.
  • One Act will dismiss from class at 1:30 Thursday due to impending weather moving in.  Students going need to also get their make up work for periods 7 & 8 Thursday as well as all day Friday.  Students will load their gear on the bus, report back to Commons at 1:45 pm, exit through the gym at 1:50 pm. and will be escorted out of town at 2:00 pm.
  • Congratulations to the 5 students that made the UNK Honor Bands/Choirs!!  Sean and Grant Springer both made the UNK Festival Band. Grace Maunu made the Women's Choir. Cassius Browning made the Honor Choir and Nathan Perrett made the Festival Choir. The festival in Kearney is on Jan. 24th. 
  • Reminder that LOGOS is tonight at 6:00 at the Presbyterian Church.
