The fifth graders' Native American projects are on display in the south hallway 10/28-11/1. Please stop by to admire their creative depictions of traditional Native American cultures.

Mrs. Galvin’s Badger Pause will be hosting a food drive beginning Monday, November 1st and running through Friday, November 19th  Students can bring their non-perishable food items to Mrs. Galvin (Room 100) and she will keep a tally. Please no canned veggies, crackers, or spaghetti sauce.  Anything else is most welcome- hamburger helper, pancake mix, oatmeal, etc. The Badger Pause group that brings the most food items will earn a food celebration day on them!  

There will be a Halloween Teen Center at the old gym on Friday, October 29th, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. This is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. There will be a costume contest, fun and games, $3 admission. Permission slips are outside the office under the bulletin board. These will need to be signed and you must take it with you to the Teen Center.

VMS 5th graders are invited to a Halloween Party on Saturday, October 30th at the Hidden Oaks Cabin in the City Park (the Girl Scout cabin). Some parents have put together a fun night of activities for you from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  There will be games, prizes, food, pumpkin decorating and more! Costumes are optional but encouraged! Your parent/guardian must sign you in with one of the chaperones and must sign you out as well.

Have a safe and happy Halloween! There is a Trunk-or-Treat at the Methodist Church on Sunday, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. if you are interested.

Mrs. Perrett’s Badger Pause is hosting a raffle to benefit the Sandhills Cancer Fund. Tickets are $5 each for a chance to win a Bomgaars gift card! Drawing will be held on November 22nd. If you are interested in purchasing a ticket, please contact Mrs. Perrett.
