- Lunch for today is: Chicken Ranch Pasta w/Dinner Roll, Corn Dog, or Taco Salad w/Tortilla Chips.
- Students - If you have checked out library books, most of them need to be renewed or returned.
- Student Council Members please pay your $25 dues to Mrs. Arganbright or Lindsey Boes.
- Artwork submissions are now being accepted for this year's Old West Days and Nebraska Cowboy Poetry Gathering, held in Valentine at the High School on October 7-10, 2021.Artwork preferably has a western theme and will be showcased in the commons area of Valentine High School during Old West Days. Please mark the pieces with the student's name, school, and/or class, so that it may be returned after the event. Art may be dropped off at KVSH Radio, 126 W 3rd Street in Valentine, or please call Ann Krueger to arrange pickup: 402-322-1005 or email: ann@kvsh.com Submission deadline is Thursday, October 7th. If you know of any home-schooled students who might be interested in submitting art, please help spread the word!
- Any student interested in being a member of the one act crew must attend a mandatory meeting at 7 am on Oct. 14th in Mrs. Kilmer’s room. Duties will be determined at this meeting, attendance is required.
- BIONIC team members please ALL plan on attending a quick meeting on October 11 at 7 pm in the commons area. We will be signing cards, so it will be a fast but important meeting.
- LOGOS begins today at the Presbyterian Church from 6:00-8:15 pm. Registration forms are available here and at the church tonight. Everyone is welcome!
- Freshman need to get their Chocolate Sales money turned into Houdek or Epke.
- One Act Play practice next Monday at 7 am in the Auditorium.
- Livestock Judging clinic will be at the Valentine Sale Barn today at 8 am.
- Reminder that the FAFSA completion days are today & tomorrow for those that are applying for aid for college and have an appointment.
- Sally Conner from Cherry Hills Assisted Living will be in the Commons area today during the lunch hour for those wanting information on working there evenings and weekends.
- No School Thursday due to Parent Teacher Conferences and no school Friday for Fall Break! Classes will resume on Monday, Oct. 11th.
- Students are asked to get rid of the old locker posters on your lockers today and take home anything of value in your cubbies before you leave for fall break due to the high volume of people in the building for parent teacher conferences and Old West Days.
- SWC Cross Country at McCook tomorrow at 4 pm. Team dismisses at 10:30 pm. Note departure time change.
- Reserve/JV/Varsity Volleyball at Gordon/Rushville tomorrow at 5 pm. Departure at 2:30 pm.
- Old West Melodrama will be at 7:30 pm in Auditorium Thursday.
- Varsity Football vs. Bridgeport Friday at 7 pm. Departure at 1:15 pm
- Band/Choir trip to Chadron is Friday where they will see a play by the CSC Theater department. Departure at 3:30 and will return around 11: 45. Those planning to go will load at 3:15.
- Reserve Volleyball is at Gordon/Rushville Saturday with departure at 8:30 am. We play the 2nd match. First match starts @ 10:00 am.
- Congratulations to Tacey From, our Badger Scholar of the week. Mr. Allison says Tacey always gives 100 % in everything she does. Tacey encourages others and is enthusiastic when learning new skills. Tacey has been a great addition to our school.
- Congratulations to Grant Springer our Badger Athlete of the Week. Mrs. Gass says Grant is a dedicated student athlete. His performance in the classroom and on the course are top-notch. Grant's response to events have led to positive outcomes. Great job, Grant!
