  • Lunch for today is: Soft Shell Beefy Tacos, Fish Nuggets w/Dinner Roll, or Chef Salad w/Roasted Flatbread.
  • Seniors, please complete the Google form sent from Journalism. Baby pictures are due Thursday.
  • Students bringing a date for the Homecoming dance from another school need to return the form today.
  • Homecoming is this week with the theme: Blazing through the decades. Spirit days are ‘50s & ‘60s today, Wednesday ‘70s, Thursday ‘80s & ‘90s, and Friday SPIRIT Day! There may be a prize given to the best dressed. The parade will be at 2:30 PM on Friday. Crowning of the homecoming king and queen will take place at half-time of the football game that starts at 7:00 PM. The dance will follow the game in the multipurpose room for all 9th-12th graders, your out-of-town date forms need to be turned in by Thursday. Doors will close approximately 1 hour after the football game ends. Entry to the dance is $5 for a single and $8 for a couple ALL school rules apply to spirit days and at the dance. Go Badgers!! 
  • Those dressing up should meet in the Commons at 7:55 am each morning for a group picture.
  •  One Act play practice Thursday at 7:00 am. in the Auditorium.
  • Spirit Squad will practice tomorrow & Friday at 6:30 am.
  • Student Council Members please pay your $25 dues to Mrs. Arganbright or Lindsey Boes.
  • SWC Girls Golf at Gothenburg today at 10 am. Departure at 6 am.
  • FBLA officers are at Fall Leadership Conference in Kearney today.
  • A representative from UNK will be here today at 8:30 am. A rep from Nebraska Wesleyan will be here Thursday at 1:00 pm. Sign up in the office if you want to see them.
  • Range Judging practice today during periods 7 & 8. Those 8 students will dismiss at 1:45.
  • Varsity Volleyball here vs. North Central & Cody/Kilgore today at 5 pm. Games will be Valentine vs. North Central, North Central vs. Cody/Kilgore, Valentine vs. Cody/Kilgore. Reserve will play North Central at the Middle School at 5 pm then JV will play North Central at the Middle School.
  • National Honor Society meeting for all members of NHS at 7:20 am tomorrow in Mrs. Adams room.
  • Tomorrow is the first On To College ACT test prep from 8 am-10 am.  Students will report to period 1 class for attendance and then at 8:00 will go to their assigned rooms.  All Freshmen will be in the Auditorium.  All Seniors will be in the Commons.  Sophomores and Juniors will be divided up in various rooms for the ACT test prep.  A list will be in the office window so check that list to see where you go after attendance is taken in your 1st period class.  At 10:00 classes will run on the shortened schedule starting with period 1 again.
  • There will be a brief Mat Maids meeting after school in the commons, October 4th.
  • Congratulations to Christopher Palmer, our Badger Scholar of the Week.  Mr. Bish says Chris is always actively participating in World Geography by answering questions and engaging in the lessons. He not only gets his work done in class but is always willing to help others who are struggling with work. Chris has a great attitude and is someone you want to be around because of his willingness to help others. 
  • Congratulations to Gunnar Battershaw, our Badger Athlete of the Week.  Coach Bish says Gunnar had 8 total tackles on Friday night including 3 tackles for loss with 2 of them being sacks. Gunnar is a great teammate that is willing to put in extra work to make himself better on and off the field.
