VCS Students and Parents,
In an effort to eliminate conflict for students involved in FFA, 4-H and the Cherry County Fair and Rodeo, VCS students will begin classes on Monday, August 16th rather than Thursday, August 12th as previously planned.
This modification to the school calendar will be formally approved at Wednesday's board of education meeting.
This will also allow teaching staff 2 additional work/preparation days for the beginning of the school year on August 12th and 13th.
This will allow students to avoid absences when teachers are providing classroom procedures and expectations in those first couple of days of school.
