  • Lunch for today will be: Fresh Baked Ham & Cheese Sub, Sloppy Joe, or Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Baby Carrots, Crinkle Cut French Fries, Fruit, & Milk
  • Since the Southwest Conference Wrestling tournament was changed to Saturday, January 23, Valentine high school will now be having all students in session on February 5 with a normal class schedule.
  • JV Wrestling at 5:30 pm at O’Neill today.  Team will depart at 2:45.
  • Battlecreek girls Wrestling today at 3:00 pm. Departure at 11 am.
  • Round 1 Mock Trial will take place in the Auditorium via Zoom here at 3 pm. today.
  • Classes will run shortened today due to the in-service, we eat during period 6,  and dismiss at 2 pm.
  • FBLA will meet in Cardinal's room for The Badger Den today from 2:00 - 3:00 pm.  If you didn't help last semester, but want to get involved, this is a great time to jump in!  3:00 - 3:30 pm will be reserved for officers to brainstorm an ingenious plan for the semester.  Please meet in Manning's room!
  • The senior class officers will be meeting at 2:00 today to set up the ballots for graduation voting. Any senior is invited to attend to help with the process.
  • Boys Cornhusker State applications are in the office and girls state applications are available from the Auxiliary. Any boy or girl who are a part of the Junior class are eligible to apply. For more information go to the American Legion/Auxiliary website or talk to Mr. Cronin.
  • Congratulations to Ashton Lurz for being selected as the Badger Scholar of the week.  Mrs. Albertus says Ashton has been doing really well in English this semester. He always writes thoughtful and complete responses on his Study Sync work. He also uses textual evidence and shows a true understanding of the text. I am always excited to read his responses. Great work Ashton! 
  • Congratulations to Malika Monroe for being our Badger Athlete of the week.  Coach Bish says Malika is averaging 3.6 points per game, 3.0 rebounds per game, 1 assist per game, and 1 steal per game. Malika does a great job of providing energy and constant effort off the bench for the lady badgers. She provides great on the ball defense and is constantly doing the little things that it takes to win. 
  • Boys basketball practice today at 3:45 and girls practice at 6 pm.
  • JV/Varsity Wrestling tomorrow at O’Neill at 5 pm. Team dismisses at 12:45 pm.
  • “Mental Mornings” will be in Mr. Beebout’s room each Wednesday at 7:20 am.
  • FBLA officers will meet Wednesday  at 7:30 am.
  • Attention all Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors:  If you would like to take Journalism in the 21-22 school year, the applications are now available.  They are posted outside of Mrs. Cardinal's classroom.  Please fill them out and turn them into Mrs. Cardinal by this Friday, 1/22/21.  This class size is limited, so please apply now.
