  1. Lunch for today is: Fresh Baked Turkey & Cheese Sub, Oven Roasted Hot Dog, or BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, Baby Carrots, BBQ Baked Beans, Fresh & Canned Fruit, & Milk. 
  2. Choir classes will meet in the auditorium again today.
  3. Homecoming Spirit days will be October 5-9th. The days are as follows: Monday: Roll out the Red Carpet (dress as your favorite celebrity) Tuesday: Patriotic Day (wear your best Red, White, & Blue)Wednesday: Let's Go to the Beach, Thursday: The '80s Rock and Friday: Badger Spirit.  Activities will be taking place during the week, be sure to tune into the announcements. The parade will be held on Friday, October 9th at 2:30 PM. Crowning of the King & Queen will take place during halftime of the football game on Friday, October 9th.  The dance will follow in the Multipurpose room $5 for singles and $8 for a couple.  Masks will be required for all Homecoming activities.
  4. To kick off Homecoming week, the Valentine Badger Boosters will be hosting Girls Football and Guys Volleyball!  Sign up for your class team outside Mrs. Arganbright's classroom. All students can sign up for your class team!  Girls football will start at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 4th, with Guys volleyball following in the gym.  We will be following the school’s requirement for masks.  May the best class win!
  5. Freshmen, please be sure to sign up for Homecoming window decorating this Saterday.  There is a sign-up sheet outside of Mrs. Swim's classroom.
  6. Reminder to juniors that we will be painting windows on Saturday morning at 10:30 at Country Fabrics and Crafts.
  7. Yearbooks for the 2019-2020 year have arrived and may be picked up in the office if you ordered one.  If you did not order one in advance we have a few available on a first come basis for $55.00.
  8. Locker rooms will be deep cleaned and disinfected this Friday.  Please clean out your gym lockers Wednesday before you leave school.
  9. Attention current and future Speech students- We have concessions stand for the Volleyball Dual vs. Hershey, this Thursday, October 1st.  Sign up sheet is on the new Speech Wall located in the Commons Area, south of the office windows.
  10. FBLA Members:  Please sign up to help with our work day this Friday, October 2nd, 2020!  The sign up sheet is on the bulletin board by Manning's and Cardinal's rooms.
  11. FBLA will be doing a Fall Conference via zoom at the ESU today all day. 
  12. Army Recruiter will be here today during the lunch period for those that want to see them.

  14. Join the Cherry Co Hospital Therapy Department as they host a 5K race called Trick-or-Trot; and a Scary Scurry 1 mile fun run/walk on October 17th at 10:00 am. on the Cowboy Trail on Main Street.  Cost is $15.00.  Those 16 & under are welcome to participate free but must be accompanied by a registered adult.  Dress in your favorite Halloween costume as a “best costume” prize will also be awarded.  See Mr. Jensen for a form and more details.
  15. SWC girls golf at Cozad tomorrow at 10:00 am. Departure at 6 am.
  16. Middle and High School Cross Country will be at Atkinson tomorrow at 4:00 pm
  17. Reserve, JV & Varsity Volleyball here tomorrow at 5:00 pm. This is Parents Night.  JV games at Middle School.
  18. Varsity Football will be at Hershey Friday at 7:00 pm. Team will depart at 2:00 pm.
  19. There is no school Thursday due to Parent Teacher Conferences being held from 8 am till 4 pm.  There is no school Friday due to Fall Break.  Classes will resume Monday, Oct. 5th at 8 am.
  20. Any student interested in being a member of the one-act crew must attend a mandatory meeting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, October 15 in Mrs. Pilakowski's room.  Duties will be determined at this meeting, so your attendance is required.
