~ VHS Student Announcements ~

Date: Sept 24th, 2026

  • Lunch for today is: BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, Crispy or Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Combo Sub, Uncrustable, Cheeseburger Basket

  • Happy Birthday to the following students this week: Kelsey Birch(22nd), Maren Cronin(22nd), Rylee Wackler(24th), Alyviah Rhea(27th)

  • Happy Birthday to the following staff members this week:   

  • Girls: Please take all of your belongings out of the locker room or lock it up before Friday. Bridgeport boys will be using the locker room. 

  • Reminder: that students who are on the fines list or academically ineligible will not be allowed to attend the Homecoming game or dance. The fines list is posted on the office door.

  • Varsity VB Triangular @ Stuart at 3:30PM on Thursday. Students will be dismissed at 1:45.

  • JV/V Girls Golf @ Valentine at 4:00PM on Thursday. Students will be dismissed right after 8th period.

  • Varsity XC @ Ogallala at 4:00PM on Thursday. Students will be dismissed at 10:45AM. 

  • JV XC @ Gordon at 4:00PM on Thursday. Students will be dismissed at 2:00PM.

  • 2:00PM dismissal on Friday so kids can get ready for the parade.

  • Homecoming Parade at 2:30PM on Friday.

  • Homecoming Crowning will take place at halftime of the football game with kickoff at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 25th.  

  • Varsity FB vs Bridgeport @ Valentine at 6:00PM on Friday. 

  • The homecoming dance will follow the football game on Friday 9/25 from 9PM-12AM. School rules will apply, you will be breathalyzed, out of town dates must have a form completed. All 9th-12th Badgers are invited!! $5 single and $8 for a couple.  

  • FFA Alumni Hamburger Feed @ VHS at 5:00PM on Friday.

  • JV/V Volleyball invite @ Mitchell at 9:00AM on Saturday. Bus will depart at 6:15AM. 

  • If you want to sign up for the Australia/New Zealand trip in 2029. Use this link: www.eftours.com/3100944ZS If you sign up by the end of the day on Thursday, you will be entered in a raffle for $250 off the trip. For a guaranteed spot, you need to enroll by 9/29. Please contact Mrs. J. Stoeger if you have any questions. 

  • LOGOS will begin Wednesday 9/30 at the Presbyterian Church's for all 5th-12th grade students. Find the registration online at the LOGOS Facebook page or on a flyer around school.   

  • Juniors, you need to sell your twenty tickets by October 3rd and bring your $20 to Mrs. Wonnenberg or Mrs. Manning. Please plan to attend our fundraiser on Saturday, October 3rd; be at the VHS parking lot at 1:30 pm!
