~ VHS Student Announcements ~

  • Lunch for today is: Chicken Fried Rice, Mini Corn Dogs, Ham & Cheese Sub, Uncrustable/Cheese, Grilled Chicken Sandwich Basket

  • Happy Birthday to the following students this week: Prent Parker (21st)

  • Happy Birthday to the following staff members this week: Mr. Beebout (22nd)

  • District speech was held @ West Holt yesterday and we had four students place! Josie: 5th in Entertainment, Camilla: 4th in Poetry, Vani: 6th in Extemporaneous, & River Doyle was named district champ in Persuasive and will be headed to State in a couple of weeks! 

  • Attention Juniors and Seniors:  Please get your $10 post prom fee to the office as soon as possible.  Post prom will be held at the middle school gym again this year immediately following the conclusion of the prom dance.  Great entertainment and prizes.  You don't want to miss it!

  • Girls Cornhusker State Interviews in the Boardroom at 1:00PM on Wednesday.

  • There will be a VERY brief travel meeting on 3/18 @3:30PM for anyone interested in a trip to Greece May 2027. PLEASE bring your cell phone to capture the QR code. Meeting will be held in Mrs. Wonnenberg's room. 

  • SPVA Quiz Bowl @ VHS Auditorium on Thursday at 1:00PM. Students will be dismissed after 5th period and will need to report to the auditorium. 

  • FFA Officer Meeting @ Nollette’s Room at 7:00AM on Thursday.

  • Track Invite @ Kearney at 11:00AM on Saturday. Bus will depart at 6:30AM. 

  • The Poppy Poster contest entries are due March 30 by 5:00 pm.  Information sheets are available in the office

  • Seniors involved in National Honor Society need to return their community service hours to Mrs. Adams by March 17th.  Juniors need to return their hours by April 17th.

  • Applications for the National Honor Society have been emailed to eligible Sophomores and Juniors.  Please return the completed applications to Mrs. Adams no later than April 17th.  If you did not receive an application and believe you should have, please contact Mrs. Adams.

  • Out of town prom date forms are available in the office.  These forms MUST be completed and returned no later than April 2.

  • If you are planning to rent a tux for prom from the Outback please do so asap.  First choices are already limited.  

  • The library will be closed to students tomorrow afternoon starting at 12:30pm
