~ VHS Student Announcements ~

  • Lunch for today is: Swicy Beef Stir-fry w/Rice, Crispy or Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Italian Turkey Sub, Uncrustable/Cheese, Crispy Chicken Sandwich Basket

  • Happy Birthday to the following students this week: Leti Alvarez (17th)

  • Happy Birthday to the following staff members this week: 

  • All cubbies need cleaned out before break! Anything left behind will be thrown away. 

  • There will be a quick meeting on Wednesday for any boys interested in going out for golf this year. We will meet in Randy's room.

  • FRESHMAN - Candy money is due by Wednesday or you will be added to the fines and dues list. 

  • Please help JAG students document how kind we are by completing the log sheets posted in the hallways. Since February is the month of Love, the JAG students want to provide the student body and staff a challenge of documenting 1000 kind acts. It is simple to complete: you are the “Observer”; whoever committed the kind act is the “Provider”; the “Receipt” is whomever the act was directed to. A “Key” is noted on the side to help categorize the acts of kindness.

  • State GWR on Tuesday.

  • Girls Sub District basketball will be tonight at 6:00PM. 

  • Boys State Wrestling Send Off at 10:00AM on Wednesday. Students will be dismissed at 9:45AM.

  • US Marines reps will be here during the lunch shifts on Wednesday.

  • HS Quiz Bowl @ Gothenburg on Wednesday. Students will be dismissed at 8:15AM. 

  • No School: District In-Service on Thursday.

  • No School: Winter Break on Friday. 

  • Boys JV/V Basketball @ Home at 5:00PM on Friday. 

  • No School: Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday 2/23. 

  • Juniors and seniors that signed up for the Wayne State College visit, we will depart at 5:30 am and return around 4 pm on Wednesday, February 25th.  Lunch will be provided at the college.

  • Seniors involved in National Honor Society need to return their community service hours to Mrs. Adams by March 17th.  Juniors need to return their hours by April 17th.

  • Speech shirts, crew necks, and hoodies are available for purchase! Please see a speech member to get your order in by February 24th. Speech members include: Landen Mooney, Sari LaDeaux, Josie Shaul, River Doyle, Praise Maunu, Shyanne Dawson, Camilla Brown, Bella Johnson & Vani Johnson.

  • All 4 locker rooms will be used tonight for Girls BB Subs. Boys Basketball players and Wrestling Boys State Qualifiers, please stay out of the Main Boys Locker room after 6pm.
