  ~ VHS Student Announcements ~

  • Lunch for today is: Pizza Pasta Bake, Teriyaki Chicken Dumplings, Combo Sub, Uncrustable, Cheeseburger Basket

  • Happy Birthday to the following students this week: Colin Bailey (15th), Sam Sprenger (17th), Reegan Eggert (18th), Jason Manewal (19th), Burke Rhodes (19th), Joni Cox (19th)

  • Happy Birthday to the following staff members this week: Mrs. Springer (18th)

  • Out of School Homecoming Dance Guest Forms are in the office. Be sure to fill one out if you have a date that is graduated, homeschooled, or not attending VHS.

  • Reminder: If you need to leave for any reason, please remember to check out in the office and check back in when you get back! 

  • Mike Donahue, founder and director of the Nebraska-based organization Value Up, will speak with students on Monday, before leading a session for parents and guardians at 7:00PM in the High School auditorium. 

  • JV Football @ O’Neill on Monday has been cancelled. 

  • Girls Golf @ North Platte on Monday at 10:00AM. Bus will depart at 6:45AM. 

  • Girls Golf @ Gothenburg on Tuesday at 10AM. Departed on Monday. 

  • MPCC College Visit on Wednesday. Bus will depart at 6:45AM. 

  • FFA Officer Meeting @ Nollette’s Room on Thursday at 7:00AM.

  • Nebraska Wesleyan University here on Thursday at 8:00AM-9:00PM.

  • XC @ O’Neill on Friday at 10:00AM. Bus will depart at 7:00AM.

  • Varsity Football @ Centura on Friday at 7:00PM. Students will be dismissed at 12:45PM. 

  • Varsity Volleyball @ McCook on Saturday at 11:00AM. Bus will depart at 6:30AM.

  • The junior class will meet on Friday, Sep. 19th, at 5:30 pm to paint our window for Homecoming. The junior class window is Country Fabrics. 

  • Homecoming 2025 will be held next week 9/22-26. The Badger boosters are holding their annual powder puff event and pep rally on Sunday September 21st. Every class and class member is invited to participate. Be in contact with your class for information.  Volleyball will begin at 3, football and pep rally to follow. 

  • The Homecoming theme this year is Big Screen to the Home Team. Monday: Kicking and Screaming( soccer moms and BBQ dads), Happy Gilmore Tuesday (Adam Sandler), On Wednesday’s we wear PINK( Mean Girls), Now and Then Thursday (dress as your younger self), Friday Night Lights (Spirit day). 

  • The Homecoming dance will be held on Friday 9/26 following the football game, approximately 9-pm-12am.  You will be breathalyzed before entering and the admission is $5 for single or $8 for a couple.
