What is Title 1?
Title 1 is a federally funded program with the goal of helping all students meet challenging state academic standards. This policy is committed to closing the achievement gap between low-income students and other students.
What do Title 1 programs offer?
Title 1 funds provide supplemental funding. The federal funds are intended to provide additional academic and family engagement activities. Examples of this would be extra opportunities for staff professional development as well as extra instruction for teaching Title 1 students.
