1. Lunch for today is: Fresh Baked Sub, Beef Goulash w/Garlic Breadstick, or Grilled Chicken Sandwich Carrots, Corn, Fresh & Canned Fruit, & Milk. 
  2. Choir students will meet in the auditorium today for class.
  3. Homecoming Spirit days will be October 5-9th. The days are as follows: Monday: Roll out the Red Carpet (dress as your favorite celebrity) Tuesday: Patriotic Day (wear your best Red, White, & Blue)Wednesday: Let's Go to the Beach, Thursday: The '80s Rock and Friday: Badger Spirit.  Activities will be taking place during the week, be sure to tune into the announcements. The parade will be held on Friday, October 9th at 2:30 PM. Crowning of the King & Queen will take place during halftime of the football game on Friday, October 9th.  The dance will follow in the Multipurpose room $5 for singles and $8 for a couple. 
  4. To kick off Homecoming week, the Valentine Badger Boosters will be hosting Girls Football and Guys Volleyball!  Sign up for your class team outside Mrs. Arganbright's classroom. All students can sign up for your class team!  Girls football will start at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 4th, with Guys volleyball following in the gym.  May the best class win!
  5. Yearbooks for the 2019-2020 year have arrived and may be picked up in the office if you ordered one.  If you did not order one in advance we have a few available on a first come basis for $55.00.
  6. Attention current and future Speech students- We have concessions stand for the Volleyball Dual vs. Hershey, this Thursday, October 1st.  Sign up sheet is on the new Speech Wall located in the Commons Area, south of the office windows.
  7. The Varsity Football game with Crofton will be made up today here at 5:30 pm.  Masks must be worn or social distance at today’s game.  It is parent’s night for senior football players and girls golf.  Parents night will begin at 5:10pm.
  8. There is a brief boys basketball meeting at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday in Mrs. Manning's room.  
  9. There will be a brief girls basketball meeting at 7:25 am on Wednesday in Mr. Jensen’s room.
  10. One Act Play practice Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 am.
  11. ESU Health Screening for Sophomores will be tomorrow from 10:20-11:20 am in the Choir room.  Teachers will have a schedule of times so they can send the sophomores at their time to the choir room.
  12. Leadership class will be doing a virtual training tomorrow from 1:30-3:30 pm. in Mrs. Houdek’s room. 
  13. JV & Varsity Volleyball here vs. Cody/Kilgore and North Central tomorrow at 5:00 pm. JV games will be at the Middle School.
  14. FBLA will be doing a Fall Conference via zoom at the ESU Wednesday all day.  Make up slips will go out today to those taking part in this.
  15. Army Recruiter will be here Wednesday during the lunch period for those that want to see them.
  16. Juniors and Seniors will be given one class period (Chemistry and Government) today to meet with representatives from colleges (2 and 4-year) along with branches of the military as part of the EducationQuest Virtual College Fair.  The event runs until September 30 and students can visit college booths any time during the 4-day event.   17. Join the Cherry Co Hospital Therapy Department as they host a 5K race called Trick-or-Trot; and a Scary Scurry 1 mile fun run/walk on October 17th at 10:00 am. on the Cowboy Trail on Main Street.  Cost is $15.00.  Those 16 & under are welcome to participate free but must be accompanied by a registered adult.  Dress in your favorite Halloween costume as a “best costume” prize will also be awarded.  See Mr. Jensen for a registration form and more details.
