Flu Season Advice

Links to the CDC and Other Information to Help You Stay Healthy This Season

As the flu season approaches us, I wanted to send out some helpful information in hopes of keeping us all well throughout the year!  Please read through some of the information regarding this 2011-2012 flu season and how to protect yourself from the flu and prevent the spread to others.  In reading some of the literature from CDC, it states that, "Getting the flu vaccine as soon as it becomes available each year is always a good idea, and the protection you get from vaccination will last throughout the flu season."  

Cherry County Clinic is offering flu vaccine clinics on Sept 19th, Sept 26th, October 3rd, Oct 10th from 4pm-6pm. Cost is $25.  

Valentine Medical clinic is allowing walk-ins for the flu shot.  If you are not already a patient there, they ask that you please bring your insurance card.  

Students who a fever of 100.0 degrees or higher need to stay home for 24 hours fever free without the aid of tylenol or ibuprofen.  Please keep your child home to help decrease the spreading of illness, if they come to school before the 24 hours, we may send them home.
