Beau Billings Qualifies for State in the 3200

Senior runner, Beau Billings is Valentine High School's lone qualifier for state. Beau ran a 10:13.2 for a second place finish at the B-6 District Track Meet held Thursday, May 13 at Scottbluff's Bearcat Stadium. Amanda O'kief placed 4th in the triple jump with a PR of 33' in the triple jump and was 3" away from qualifying for state. John Michalek jumped a PR 6' 1" in the high jump which placed him tied for 3rd, but he had more misses so he did not qualify for state. As a team the Valentine girls place 9th with 11 points and the Valentine boys also placed 8th with 18 points. Beau and his track coaches will leave next Thursday for the State Track Meet which will be held at Burke Stadium on Friday and Saturday, May 21st and 22nd. Good Luck Beau.
PLEASE - look at the results below as the Personal Records are marked in yellow. The Valentine Tracksters set 12 PR's at the District Meet this year. Great way to finish the season!!!!!
