Valentine Elementary Students Qualify for Cherry County Spelling Contest

VES Sends 7 Students to the County Spelling Contest

Congratulations to Valentine Elementary School students that qualified for this year’s Cherry Country Spelling Bee Oral Competition.

Third grade student, Will Major, placed first in the written competition. Fourth grade students that placed were Margaret Rosfeld first place and Taylor Frank third place.

Fifth grade students placing in the written competition were Brett Ohlmann first place, Kyle Johnson second place, Lucas Stoeger third place, and Brooks Coleman was named alternate.

Students placing in the top three places will advance to the oral competition. The Cherry County Spelling Bee will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Valentine Rural High School Auditorium beginning at 1:00 pm central time.
